Katie Salvatierra

I have 15 years of clinical experience with children, adolescents, and adults in various clinical settings. I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Community Counseling. I have multiple certifications including:

  • National Certified Counselor

  • Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor

  • EMDR

  • Certified First Responder Counselor

I am a United States Marine Corps Veteran and I was also a military spouse in the past. I have an intimate understanding of the unique struggles military members and their families face and I am passionate working with active duty, veterans, and first responders.

It is my belief that by connecting our past to our present, we are able to gain a better understanding of our feelings, behaviors, relationships, and experiences.

I recognize that each individual has their own individualized story. I bring an individualized approach to each client. An effective counseling relationship offers support, promotes self-development, and guides us through difficult challenges, in a safe, non-judgmental setting. I work with my clients from an integrative, client-centered, developmental, strength-based, culturally competent, holistic framework. I utilize trauma informed care with an EMDR focus.

I will help you get connected with your inner strengths and values so you can start leading a life full of fulfillment, balance, and meaning.
